New Zealand Hebe Hebe speciosa

New Zealand Hebe is an introduced perennial shrub, found in Hawaii and the lower 48 states.

More about this plant

Veronica speciosa, synonym Hebe speciosa, is a species of flowering plant in the family Plantaginaceae, known by the common names New Zealand hebe, showy hebe, showy-speedwell, and the Māori names titirangi and napuka. Like most hebes, it is native to New Zealand but it can be found in other parts of the world where it is grown as an ornamental for its showy flowers. Wikipedia →

⚠ Invasive here — plant a native instead USDA + GBIF

New Zealand Hebe is flagged invasive in the U.S. These natives fill a similar niche — same growth habit, bloom season, height, and region — so you keep the look and feed local wildlife instead of spreading a problem.

Matched on growth habit · bloom months · mature height · shared U.S. range (USDA + GBIF) — a starting point, not a prescription.
